What we collect
We collect your email address, name, and authentication tokens when you create an account. We also collect website URLs you submit for crawling, and store generated metadata associated with your account.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also collect usage information: the pages you visit, the actions you take in the app, your approximate location based on IP address, and your browser and device type. We record app sessions so we can see where the product is confusing or broken. Form fields are masked in these recordings, and so are email addresses and names shown on screen, so we do not capture what you type. If you are signed in, we do link this usage data to your account, including your email address and plan, so that we can tell which account a session belongs to.
How we use it
We use your data solely to provide the Image SEO Lab service, which means crawling your submitted URLs, generating metadata, and delivering results to you. Analytics data is used to understand how the product is used and to fix problems. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Data storage
Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
Third-party services
We use Polar as our merchant of record for payments and subscription billing. Your card details are handled entirely by Polar and never reach our servers. We use AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) for metadata generation; images from your submitted pages are sent to these providers for analysis. We do not retain the images themselves, only their URLs and the generated metadata.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also use PostHog for product analytics, session recording and error tracking, and Google Analytics for website traffic statistics. Both process data on servers in the United States. Neither runs until you accept, and declining stops them entirely rather than merely hiding them.
Cookies
We use two kinds of cookies, and only the first kind is set automatically.
Essential cookies
These keep you signed in and keep the site secure. They cannot be turned off, because the app cannot work without them. We do not need your consent for these, and they are not used for tracking.
Analytics cookies
These tell us which pages people visit and how they move through the app. We set them only if you accept them in the cookie banner. If you decline, none are set, and no analytics data is collected at all.
You can change your answer at any time using in the footer, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can delete your account yourself from the settings page, which removes your profile, projects and generated metadata. If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to withdraw consent for analytics at any time, which the cookie settings link above does immediately, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
