Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: July 26, 2026
Try before you pay
Every account starts on the Free plan, which needs no card and includes a monthly allowance of image metadata generations. We strongly recommend running a scan on the Free plan first, so you can judge the quality of the output before subscribing.
Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your account. Cancellation stops future renewals — it does not end your access immediately. Your plan stays fully active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your account moves to the Free plan after that.
Because you keep the service for the whole period you paid for, we do not issue automatic pro-rated refunds for the unused part of a cancelled month or year.
Changing plans
- Upgrades take effect immediately. Polar charges the prorated difference for the remainder of your current period, and any image credits you have already used carry over to the new plan.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep the plan you paid for until it runs out. You can undo a scheduled downgrade at any time before it applies.
- Switching from yearly to monthly is scheduled for the end of the paid annual term. We do not refund the remainder of an annual term when you switch.
When we do refund
We will refund a payment where:
- You were charged as a result of a billing error on our side, such as a duplicate charge.
- A fault in the service prevented you from using the plan you paid for, and we were unable to fix it for you.
- A refund is required by the consumer protection law that applies to you.
Email support@imageseolab.comfrom the address on your account, describing what happened and roughly when. We respond to refund requests within two business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method by Polar, our merchant of record, and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
What we generally cannot refund
- Image credits that have already been used to generate metadata, since the AI processing cost is incurred at that point.
- Unused credits at the end of a billing period — allowances reset each period and do not roll over.
- A period you simply forgot to cancel, where the service was available to you throughout.
These are general guidelines rather than hard rules. If you think your situation is unfair, write to us and explain — we would rather sort it out than leave you unhappy.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, your account keeps working for a short grace period while the payment is retried, and we prompt you to update your payment method. If it cannot be recovered, the subscription ends and the account returns to the Free plan. Your projects and generated metadata are not deleted when this happens.
Statutory rights
Polar acts as the merchant of record for all purchases and is the seller on your receipt. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country, including any statutory right of withdrawal for digital purchases.
